On the 21st local time, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Health, Alexei Zoe, stated that the genetic sequencing of samples from positive cases in the past two months revealed that the mutant strain “Eta” came from 4 regions, including 2 in Mangstau State.

As of the 22nd, Kazakhstan has newly confirmed more than 2,400 cases in the past 24 hours, and the total number of confirmed cases has exceeded 941,000
