Researchers have recently developed a viscosity-mediated model to correlate the gloss and film thickness of the coating.
film thickness determines many key coating properties, including gloss. However, the current literature has little to do with the development of methods that directly relate film thickness
. As a result, the lack of precise models hinders further product design and optimization of coating products and processes.
to successfully predict the gloss-viscosity relationship
in the current contribution, the previously derived gloss-viscosity relationship is converted into a glossy film thickness mathematical model. The experimental results of both the anti-lighting agent and the gloss agent can be successfully predicted by the model, which is revealed as a simple and useful tool for daily calculations.
