From SeafoodMedia on July 11, as of June, South Korea imported 656,237 tons of seafood , of which 36,235 tons of frozen mackerel accounted for 5% of the tot.
The monthly import volume in June was 1,956 tons, an increase of 83% from 1,070 tons in the same period last ye.

Of the frozen mackerel imported by South Korea in the first half of this year, 32,036 tons came from Norway, 1,766 tons from China , 1,284 tons from the United Kingdom, 385 tons from Russia, 341 tons from the Netherlands and 191 tons from Germa.

Norway had the highest unit price of frozen mackerel at US$48 per kilo, followed by the UK and China at US$4 and US$05 respectively, and Russia at US$8
