Propylene glycol has been squeezed by the raw material cyclopropene for a long time, and it is expected to be decompressed next year.
As the "vane" of the trend of the propylene glycol industry, the development of the supply and demand of propylene oxide in the later period is particularly eye-catching.
In 2015, new domestic cyclopropane devices will be put into operation one after another, and the supply of PO market is expected to increase significantly.
At the same time, environmental pressure has caused some propylene oxide companies to shut down, and downstream polyether plants continue to expand their production capacity, which has a certain degree of demand for propylene oxide.
Supporting role.
In the future, part of the new propylene oxide capacity will be produced and used by the polyether plant, which will not produce disruptive changes to the market supply.
In addition, in terms of imports, after the downstream installations in Thailand and Singapore are put into production, the supply of PO from Southeast Asia will be greatly reduced.
By then, the Chinese market, which relies on imported Southeast Asian sources, will switch to domestic procurement.
In 2015, there may be a trend of oversupply of cyclopropyl, but the overall gap is not obvious.
Propylene glycol's high cost pressure is expected to be "relaxed" to a certain extent, but the expected value is not high.
