From 00:24 on December 17th, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 12 new confirmed cases, of which 11 were imported from abroad (4 in Shanghai, 4 in Guangdong, 1 in Shanxi, 1 in Henan, 1 in Yunnan), 1 in Sichuan;
9 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 494 close contacts were released from medical observation, and the number of serious cases increased by 1 from the previous day.
262 confirmed cases (of which 6 are serious cases) and 3 suspected cases have been imported from outside China. A total of 4079 confirmed cases, a total of 3817 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on December 17, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 304 confirmed cases (of which 8 were serious cases), 81,851 cases had been cured and discharged from hospital, 4634 cumulative deaths had been reported, 86,789 confirmed cases had been reported and 4 suspected cases had been reported. A total of 890,102 close contacts were traced and 7,014 close contacts were still under medical observation.
