11th Asia-Pacific Clinical Nutrition Conference and the 14th National Nutrition Science Congress of the Chinese Nutrition Society were held in Nanjing from September 20-22, 2019. The Forum on Nutrition and Cardiovascular Disease came out on the afternoon of September 22. This forum closely focuses on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, dietary nutrition and the relationship between disease and other hot issues, brings together the wisdom of Chinese and foreign scholars, shares the leading research on the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, provides an international exchange platform for researchers in related research fields, and provides new opportunities for cooperation in future research, prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases. The forum is rich in content and exciting. At the forum, Professor Ibrahim Elmadfa introduced us to "a new starting point for optimizing nutrition for cardiovascular disease prevention and control". Professor Liu Simin, who brought the "21st Century New Diet - Heart Hypothesis" lecture, shared his team's research on the link between the sensitivity of sex hormones and major metabolic outcomes, and noted that there are many target signals in the glands that have the potential to prevent and treat diabetes risk. Associate Professor Yang Xueli shared a lecture on the theme of "The Relationship between Dietary Nutrition, Tea drinking and Cardiovascular Disease and Tumor Incidence - China's Queue Study", described the prevalence of cardiovascular disease and cancer in China, proposed six healthy lifestyles to prevent cancer, and pointed out that drinking tea can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease death, but the protective effect only exists in green tea. Professor Pasquale Strazzullo gave a wonderful lecture on the Dietary Guidelines for Stroke Prevention. Professor Oran Kwon brought with him a lecture on the synergy of phytochemicals to heart metabolic health, using AI technology to analyze the composition of human body and phytochemicals. Professor Ling Wenhua gave a wonderful report on "Research on New Biomarkers of Cardiovascular Disease", detailing the emerging biomarkers of cardiovascular disease, including lipid metabolism, blood sugar, S-adenosine homocysteine, inflammation, metabolites of the gut microbiome, etc. Professor Bernhard Hennig introduced us to "the regulatory effects of nutrition on environmental toxicity and its effects in cardiovascular disease", noting that a healthy lifestyle can reduce the risk of environmental toxicity-induced cardiovascular disease.
