    afternoon of September 21, 2019, the Forum on Micronutrient Nutrition and Health, hosted by the Micronutrient Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, was held at the Nanjing International Expo Conference Center. The forum invited a total of 8 domestic and foreign experts in the field of trace elements to make an academic report at the meeting.
    This forum closely focuses on the relationship between micronutrients and diseases, and shares the research results of Chinese and foreign scholars in the basic research of micronutrients in the prevention and treatment of diseases, the nutritional status quo and physiological needs of micronutrients in our population, nutrition intervention and so on.
    The Chairman of the Committee on Micronutrients of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition, Mr. Ho Junsheng, made an opening speech, and the session was co-chaired by Dr. Wenjun Li, Research Fellow of the Nutrition and Health Institute of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Researcher Chenjiang of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
