September 20-22, 2019, the 11th Asia-Pacific Clinical Nutrition Conference and the 14th National Nutrition Congress, co-sponsored by the Chinese Nutrition Society and the Asia-Pacific Society of Clinical Nutrition, were successfully held in Nanjing. The second Global Conference of Chinese Nutrition Scientists was held at the same time, and the Global Forum of Chinese Nutrition Scientists was held on the morning of September 21. Co-sponsored by the Chinese Nutrition Society's Global Committee of Chinese Nutrition Scientists and the North American Chinese Nutrition Society, the forum aims to provide an academic exchange platform for the world's best Chinese nutrition scientists.

Forum was divided into the second half, the first half by Harvard University Professor Frank Hu and the Cdc for Disease Control and Prevention of Nutrition and Health Director Ding Gangqiang presided over the second half by Cornell University Professor Lei Xingen and Professor Ling Wenhua of Zhongshan University. Yang Yuxin, Chairman of the Chinese Nutrition Society, and Chen Guoxun, Chairman of the North American Chinese Nutrition Society, delivered speeches. The Forum shared nine reports, of which Professor Frank Hu delivered a keynote address on "Best Nutrition For Individuals, People and Global Health" and Professor Lei Xingen gave an academic presentation on "Opportunities and Challenges to Meet the Global Animal Protein Needs 2050", Qingdao University Professor Li Wei, Professor Zhao Ling of the University of Tennessee, Professor Chen Guoxun, Professor Li Zhaoping of the University of California, Los Angeles, and Professor Chen Wei of the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition of the Chinese Academy of Sciences reported on the latest research and intervention progress in chronic diseases such as nutrition and cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity.

The Chinese Nutrition Society established the Global Committee of Chinese Nutrition Scientists in 2018 to invite and recruit outstanding Chinese nutrition scientists, clinical nutritionists, public health experts, dietitians and nutrition students from around the world. Through the Global Committee of Chinese Nutrition Scientists, the Chinese Nutrition Society hopes to encourage and support Chinese nutrition workers to actively participate in major international nutrition conferences, organize and plan academic activities, provide a platform for scientific research and exchange among the world's outstanding Chinese nutrition scientists, provide a platform for cooperation and development of young nutrition workers around the world, and promote the integration of nutrition and related industries to enhance the international activity and influence of Chinese nutrition workers around the world.
