Heterologous and Cell-Free Protein Expression Systems
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
Recently, these heterologous expression systems have been supplemented by more robust prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell-free protein synthesis systems.
In this chapter, common host systems for heterologous expression are reviewed and the current status of cell-free expression systems will be presented.

Chromatin Immunoprecipitation to Verify or to Identify In Vivo ProteinDNA Interactions
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
ChIP may also be used to discover new targets, and when combined with high-throughput approaches to identify DNA fragments associated with a transcription factor, it may provide a tool to study the gene regulatory networks active during plant development and/or response to the environment.

Analysis of N- and O-Glycosylation of Plant Proteins
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
One of these, glycosylation, consists of the addition of sugar residues to the protein backbone, while the protein enters or travels within the secretory pathway.
Glycosylation of secreted proteins can be of two types∶N - orO -glycosylation, depending on the linkage involved between the oligosaccharide moiety and the protein backbone.

Isolation of Photosystem I Particles From Spinach
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
A method to prepare photosystem I (PSI) particles is described.
Eluted by a linear concentration gradient of NaCl, fractions enriched in PSI particles are collected and applied on a small hydroxyapatite column.
By eluting with phosphate buffer, a concentrated preparation of PSI particles is obtained.

Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.)
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
The plasmid contains a phosphomannose isomerase (PMI) selectable marker gene.
Cells transformed with PMI are capable of metabolizing the selective agent, mannose, whereas cells not expressing the gene are incapable of using the carbon source and will stop growing.
Callus masses proliferating on selection were screened for PMI expression using a chlorophenol red assay.
-
Rainforest
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
The main tree species in China's tropical rainforest are the dragon brain incense (green skin, slope base, wangtian tree), Sankoh (wood pineapple) and nutmeg koko (Taiwan nutmeg).

Tube cells
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
The overlapping tube cells are interspersed with each other at their skewed ends, and the aqueous solution can only communicate with each other through unenforced parts or diapers on its sidewall, and their infusion capacity is not as good as that of catheters, but the mechanical support capacity is stronger.

Plant tissue culture base
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
related topics , Culture -based composition: (i), mineral elements Mineral elements are divided into a large number of elements and trace elements of the two major categories: A.
a large number of elements mainly contain calcium, magnesium, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur.

Genus Entodon
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
, the representative genus of the shiny sub-gang gray-eye line, the plant body is flat by the leaves, with a distinct luster.
Yellow handle sub-species plants are more upright, dark green.

Determination of ADP-Ribosyl Cyclase Activity, Cyclic ADP-Ribose, and Nicotinic Acid Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate in Tissue Extracts
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
Cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR) is a novel second messenger that releases calcium from intracellular stores.
Although first shown to release calcium in the sea urchin egg, cADPR has been shown since to be active in a variety of cells and tissues, from plant to human.
-
Actinomycetes
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
The mycelium of the line-letting bacteria is usually divided into two parts: the base-inner mycelium and the gas-based mycelium.
Gas mycelium differentiates spores when it matures.
Line bacteria can produce a variety of antibiotics and enzymes.

Protein Extraction and Gel-Based Separation Methods to Analyze Responses to Pathogens in Carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus L)
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
We are currently using a 2-DE-based proteomics approach to study plant responses to pathogenic fungi by using the carnation ( Dianthus caryophyllus L)– Fusarium oxysporum f.
It is clear that the protocols for the first stages of a standard proteomics workflow must be optimized to each biological system and objectives of the research.

Detecting Histone Modifications in Plants
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
Histone modifications play an essential role in chromatin-associated processes including gene regulation and epigenetic inheritance.
Here, we describe a robust chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) method forArabidopsis , which could be adapted for other plant species.

N-Glycosylation of Plant Recombinant Pharmaceuticals
Time of Update: 2021-03-12
N -glycosylation is a maturation event necessary for the correct function, efficiency, and stability of a high number of biopharmaceuticals.
This chapter presented here proposes various methods to determine whether, how, and where a plant pharmaceutical isN -glycosylated.

Use of the GUS Reporter Gene
Time of Update: 2021-03-11
Indeed, reporter genes can also be used to aid the isolation of promoters, through the transformation of plants with a promoterless reporter gene construct.
Activation of the reporter gene will then only occur if the gene is inserted adjacent to a native promoter ( 1 ).
