Some coating companies in Zhejiang Province have recently raised prices.
Ma Xinhua, secretary-general of the Zhejiang Coatings Industry Association, told a reporter from China Business News on the 12th that the price increase of raw materials in Zhejiang is similar to that of Guangdong, but the increase of paint products is higher than that of Guangdong, reaching a maximum of 8%.
She told reporters that a small number of companies said they could not afford it.
They started to increase the prices of their coating products in April.
Depending on the increase in raw materials, some started at 5% and some started at 8%.
According to Zhang Tianfei, secretary general of Fujian Painting Association, the increase of local coating products is also 5% to 8%.

Industry analysts pointed out that when the price of raw materials increased last year, individual companies waited to wait and see and failed to raise prices in time, which resulted in losses in corporate profits, so the response was quicker this year.
