Recently, the book "Yunnan Xishuangbanna Characteristic Wild Vegetables" edited by Yan Lichun, Luo Yan and Shi Jipu of the Landscape and Horticultural Center of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was officially published by
the Commercial Press.
Xishuangbanna in the south of Yunnan Province, due to its special geographical location and topography, has formed a tropical humid climate, with real tropical rainforest development characteristics, with a rich tropical rainforest, known as the oasis on the Tropic of Cancer, one of
the richest biodiversity areas in China.
There are many ethnic minorities in Xishuangbanna, including 13 secular ethnic groups such as Dai, Hani and Kino, who share the same origin and culture with the ethnic groups in northern Southeast Asia, and have discovered a variety of wild edible plant resources
in the long practice of life.
