In January last year, the Hunan Provincial Government and CITIC Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly build a seed industry center.

Since then, Hunan has invested 200 million yuan to build a physical operation platform for the seed industry center, and launched the exploration of institutional innovations such as equity incentives and the construction of key common technology research centers and professional research centers

There are three "big ambitions" hidden in the seed industry center

Tong Xudong introduced that the center plans to set up three core functional sections of operation management, technology research and development and achievement incubation

The first phase of construction is to start two common technology research centers, molecular breeding technology and biological breeding intelligent big data, and professional research centers for rice and other eight fields of breeding, which is the so-called "2+8" construction

The Achievement Incubation and Transfer Center will serve the transformation, incubation and industrialization of achievements by setting up funds, cooperative development, and intellectual property operations
