Liver cancer ranks the third cause of cancer-related death in the world

On September 12, 2021, Yang Pengyuan's research group from the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wang Fusheng's research group from the Fifth Medical Center of PLA General Hospital jointly published a titled "Intratumoral stem-like CCR4 + regulatory T cells orchestrate the " in the Journal of Hepatology .

The research group has been paying attention to the accumulation mechanism of negative immunoregulatory Treg cells in HBV-related liver cancer for many years

In this paper, researchers in HBV-related liver cancer clinical specimens and mouse orthotopic liver cancer tumor-bearing models detected high expression of chemokine receptor CCR4 in cancer tissue-specific Treg cells, and it was significantly correlated with HBV titer and prognosis

Related researches were invited to publish reviews in the journals Natl Sci Rev and Pharmacol Res to summarize the progress in this field

The work was completed in cooperation with the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chongqing International Institute of Immunology, the Fifth Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, and Weill Cornell Medical College
