The overall price of vegetables is slowly falling

Regarding the recent changes in vegetable prices, Tong Wei, director of the Marketing Department of Xinfadi, told reporters from the Beijing News that the overall prices of vegetables have remained stable recently and are in a slow downward trend

In terms of supply, Tong Wei introduced that in Xinfadi recently, there has been a phenomenon of concentrated listing of vegetables

From the perspective of specific vegetables, Liu Tong, head of the Statistics Department of Beijing Xinfa, said that the price of small varieties of vegetables such as small rapeseed and loose leaf lettuce has fallen slightly due to the increase in the market

Liu Tong said that according to the data of the previous week (December 4-10), the price of some vegetables dropped by more than 20% during the week

However, Xinfadi said that the prices of some vegetables have also risen, such as Yunnan Tuan Lettuce and Cantonese Eggplant, Shandong Green Onion, and Shandong Bell Pepper

Liu Tong said that the weighted average price of vegetables has been steadily declining recently, and the prices of many kinds of vegetables still have room for decline in the later period

Pork prices continue to stabilize

In terms of meat supply, Tong Wei introduced that on December 13, Xinfadi white striped pigs had a market volume of 2034, and the weighted average price of white striped pigs was 19.

The weekly news released by Xinfadi (December 4-10) shows that the average daily market volume of white striped pigs in the previous week was 1,827, an increase of 44.

Zhang Yuxi, chairman of Xinfadi Market, told the media that the wholesale price of pork has stabilized at around 10 yuan/jin in the past month

Tong Wei also mentioned that the supply of Xinfadi pork is sufficient, and the price will remain around 10 yuan/jin for a period of time.
