The meeting evaluated the clinical application, research and evidence-based evaluation reports provided by the Chinese expert group
.
The final report of the meeting pointed out that traditional Chinese medicine can effectively treat new coronary pneumonia and reduce the conversion of mild and common cases to severe cases; for mild and common cases, compared with simple conventional treatment, traditional Chinese medicine can be used as an additional intervention.
Shorten the time of virus clearance, clinical symptom relief and hospital stay; the report also recommends that member states consider incorporating traditional Chinese medicine into the clinical management planning of COVID-19 in their health systems and regulatory frameworks; encourages member states to consider using China’s integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine model, promote International clinical trials
