In response to the serious problem of water channeling in horizontal wells of heavy oil thermal recovery in Henan Oilfield, the Engineering Institute has developed a dual-parameter dynamic multi-point water search technology, plugging with thin permeability barriers, low-density high-strength plugging, and high-temperature gel plugging agent applications.

At present, the technology has been promoted and applied on-site for 195 well times, with a cumulative oil increase of 23,268.

This technology has obtained 2 authorized invention patents

(Qiao Qingfang and Cheng Hongxiao)
