According to the Viet Cong E-Pao, Ms.
Jin Qiu, a shrimp market expert at the Vietnam Aquatic Products Processing and Export Association, said that Vietnam's shrimp exports to China in the last months of this year, although they could not maintain the strong growth momentum of previous months, are expected to continue to grow
    .

Vietnam's shrimp exports to China have been at new highs
    for months.
The upward momentum is expected to remain in the final months of the year, but growth will slow
    .

From March to May this year, Vietnam's shrimp exports to China recorded a high growth rate of 126%-140%, but only increased by 13% to 32% from June to August, especially in July, when exports fell by 17%
    year-on-year.

    According to Ms.
Jin Qiu, a shrimp market expert at the Vietnam Aquatic Products Processing and Export Association (VASEP), China's import demand for shrimp has been high, coupled with unfavorable weather that has led to a decline in shrimp production in
    the country's interior.
As a result, as of September 15, 2022, Vietnam's shrimp exports to China still increased by 56% to US$438 million
    .

China's shrimp imports reached a record 95,000 tonnes in August, up 89% year-on-year; In July, it reached 93,000 tons
    .

In the first eight months of 2022, China's shrimp imports were unchanged from the first 11 months of 2021 to 524,000 tons; imports increased by 64% to US$3.
    42 billion
    .

The main shrimp products exported by Vietnam to the Chinese market include: live lobster, hulled frozen white leg shrimp, fresh/frozen South American white shrimp, frozen white leg shrimp tail, fresh shelled frozen white leg shrimp, frozen whole fresh black tiger shrimp, fresh/frozen processed white leg shrimp, frozen black tiger prawn, steamed/frozen full white leg shrimp, etc
    .

At present, China's shrimp importers face many difficulties
due to China's restrictive policies to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic, increased transportation costs and the depreciation of the renminbi.
Therefore, if the financial pressure on Chinese shrimp importers is still not alleviated, then China's overall shrimp import demand may decrease in
    the near future.

    Ms.
Jin Qiu said that Vietnam's shrimp exports to China in the last months of this year, although unable to maintain the strong growth momentum of previous months, are expected to continue to grow
    .
