    Vietnam's shrimp exports continue to decline Fish exports grew steadily

    Aquatic products are exported to shrimp
     
    According to the Vietnam Aquatic Products Processing and Export Association, among the aquatic products exported to the outside world, shrimp products exports fell the most, with exports falling from US$456 million in May to US$
    365 million in August.
    In the first eight months, shrimp exports exceeded the US$3 billion mark, an increase of 22.

    Contrary to the downward trend in the export of shrimp products, the export of fish in August still maintained a steady growth momentum, with exports reaching more than 187 million US dollars, an increase of 114% year-on-year, and a slight increase
    from the previous month.

    In the first eight months of this year, the export value of chayu reached nearly 1.

    Specifically, the export volume of Chayu to China reached nearly 500 million US dollars, accounting for 29% of Vietnam's total exports of Chayu; Exports to the United States amounted to $428 million, up 90 percent year-on-year and accounting for 25 percent
    of total fish exports.
     
    Le Ji, deputy director of the Trade Promotion and Training Center of the Vietnam Aquatic Products Processing and Export Association, said that in July this year, Vietnam's exports to the signatories of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (CPTPP) reached more than 211 million US dollars, accounting for 13% of the total exports of Chayu, an increase of 73%
    year-on-year.
