    The president of the Vietnam Grain Association also pointed out that before, China (Vietnam's second largest import market) imported rice from Vietnam every year accounted for 30-40%, but in the first eight months of this year, Vietnam's rice exports to China only reached more than 520,000 tons (accounting for 10% of Vietnam's rice exports), with exports reaching nearly $270 million, down 29%
    year-on-year.
     
    Ghanaian and Ivorian markets import large and stable amounts of rice from Vietnam; Vietnam's total rice exports to these two markets exceed 18%.
