In order to cope with global climate change, protect the environment, reduce the import of fossil energy and ensure national energy security, Vietnam proposed to increase the proportion of renewable energy generation to 10% by 2030, wind power to 800 MW by 2020, and 6,000 MW
by 2030.
It is reported that in the past period, the Vietnamese government has issued many preferential policies
for the development of renewable energy, especially wind power, solar energy and biomass power.
At present, Vietnam has a total of 7 wind power projects with a total power generation capacity of 197 MW in use
