Vietnam's "Commercial News" reported on April 12, the Vietnam Association of Aquatic Products Processing and Export (VASEP) said that as the shortage of raw materials may continue until the end of the second quarter of this year, the price of chamois will rise in the near future
    .

Affected by the epidemic and supply chain disruptions in 2021, many fish farmers will not be able to stock their crops according to the year's crop plan
    .
Most of the breeding ponds only guarantee the basic stocking amount, limit the feeding amount, and there are not too many conditions to increase stocking
    .

In addition, the drought and seawater erosion in the Jiulong River Plain have also had various impacts on the production, import and export of chard
    .
Food prices, international transport costs and fuel prices have risen to record levels in recent years
    .
In particular, the price of refined oil rose by more than 30% compared with the same period in 2020
    .

VASEP said this has led to a shortage of fish supply from the beginning of the year
    .
The short-term supply and the increased demand are the reasons for the increase in the price of chaff
    .
At present, the price of unprocessed trout has risen by 25% compared with the end of last year, reaching a historical record of about VND 32,000/kg
    .
Some places are even more expensive
    .

After three years of bleak operation, the Vietnamese fish industry has recovered strongly
    .
According to statistics from the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, as of the end of the first quarter of this year, the export value of Chayu reached 646 million US dollars, an increase of 88% year-on-year, accounting for about 27% of the total export of aquatic products
    .

Exports of chaff to some major markets increased by triple digits
