Toyota said on Friday it would begin mass production of face shields earlier this week to supply hospitals near its plants in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Texas

"With our plants idled and our dealers focused on serving customers, we are eager to contribute our expertise and skills to help swiftly bring the fight against COVID-19," Ted Ogawa, Toyota's newly appointed head of North American operations, said in a statement.
