Three new species of birds added to Qinghai Yushu Longbao National Nature Reserve |
China News Service, Xining, November 14th (Reporter Li Jiangning) On the 14th, the reporter learned from the Longbao National Nature Reserve Management Station in Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai that since this year, Longbao National Nature Reserve has monitored and recorded birds.
There are 61 species belonging to 14 orders and 29 families.
Compared with the survey in 2020, 3 new species have been added.
They are Common Kingfisher, Common Swift, and West China Willow Warbler
.
Up to now, the number of birds in Longbao National Nature Reserve has increased to 125 species, belonging to 39 families and 17 orders
Longbao National Nature Reserve is located in Longbao Town, Yushu City, with a total area of 100 square kilometers
.
Located in the core area of the Three Rivers, the reserve has a typical inland wetland and water ecosystem.
It is understood that since 2021, the Longbao National Nature Reserve has carried out a bird diversity survey.
On the basis of the 22 fixed area monitoring samples from 2018 to 2020, 10 new monitoring samples have been added.
Bird distribution, topography, road traffic and other factors, divide the protection into 3 monitoring sections, set up 3 transects, 32 fixed monitoring points, one of which is the basis of the original 22 fixed area monitoring points in the reserve A sample line around the lake is formed on the upper surface, and the monitoring adopts a combination of sample lines and sample points, and directly observes and counts with high-powered monoculars
.
In recent years, the Longbao National Nature Reserve Management Station has continued to strengthen the protection and management of ecological resources, and the habitat of waterbirds has been continuously improved.
The food resources of the Longbao Wetland have continued to be enriched, bird species have continued to increase, and the ecosystem has become more healthy and stable
