(People’s Daily) The representative of the Vietnam Commercial Office in Israel stated that Israel’s abolition of import quotas and the opening of the dairy market are good opportunities for Vietnamese companies to communicate with Israeli importers and promote exports to the market
    .

Specifically, in early December 2021, the Israeli Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development unanimously agreed to abolish the import quotas for a series of dairy products such as yogurt, low-fat cheese (up to 5%) and dairy products
    .

According to the Israeli Ministry of Finance, Israel is implementing the recommendations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to lower the sales price of dairy products while still ensuring that the domestic agricultural sector is protected
    .

Israeli Finance Minister Avigdor Liberman stated that dairy products on the Israeli market are often 79% more expensive than the average price of similar products in OECD countries, and the dairy market is opening up to healthy competition.
The measure is the first in a series of measures to address Israel’s current high cost of living
    .

After the quota is reduced, Israeli consumers can enjoy a wide range of dairy products at cheaper prices, while the country’s domestic agricultural sector is still fully protected
