According to reports, the world's fifth-largest offshore wind farm was launched

The Race Bank wind farm is the equivalent of 10,500 football fields and is located approximately 17km
from the coasts of North Norfolk and Lincolnshire.
The wind farm consists of 91 Siemens-Gamesa wind turbines capable of generating 573 MW of renewable energy

Offshore wind farms have a useful life of up to 25 years and are expected to employ more than 50 people

The ownership distribution of wind farms is 50% owned by Ørsted, 25% by Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund5, 12.
5% by Macquarie Capital and 12.
5% by Sumitomo Corporation

Matthew Wright, Managing Director of Ørsted UK, said: "The Race Bank offshore wind farm is a very important and innovative project, equipped with the first turbine blades to be manufactured in Hull and the first wind farm
in the UK to operate vessels with new services.

The wind farm will provide electricity to 500,000 homes a year, another positive step
towards a decarbonised energy system in the UK.
