The World Conference on the Promotion of Public Scientific Quality focuses on promoting global scientific resistance to epidemics

BEIJING, Oct. 26 (Xinhua Zhang Quan) Reporters from the recently held fourth quarter press conference of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology was informed that the 2020 World Conference on the Promotion of Public Scientific Quality is committed to improving the global scientific and technological community to jointly respond to major outbreaks and other crises and challenges, and promote the post-epidemic era of the global scientific quality.
The 2020 World Conference on the Promotion of Public Scientific Quality, with the theme of "Improving the Quality of Public Science and Promoting Global Scientific Resistance to Epidemics", will invite top scientists in relevant fields to share their thoughts, experiences and achievements in scientific resistance to the epidemic and explore countermeasures and solutions to the public health crisis. Representatives of scientific and technological organizations were invited to engage in multilateral thematic dialogues on such topics as "scientific prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic", "public scientific quality and social governance" and "ensuring global public health security".
Conference also set up "for 2035 youth science and technology education", "healthy world, build the future", "the new situation of science center services and development", "public scientific quality and ecological civilization construction" "public scientific quality and public health crisis response" and other thematic forums.
conference will further promote the public scientific quality to enhance the construction of international cooperation mechanism. During the 2019 World Conference on the Promotion of Public Scientific Quality, 19 scientific and technological organizations from 18 countries jointly initiated the establishment of the World Organization for the Quality of Public Science. During the conference, a working meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the World Organization for Public Scientific Quality will be held to actively promote the implementation of the Beijing Road Map for Action.
the conference will be held in the form of "offline main venue plus video conference", the plenary meeting is scheduled to be held on 8 December, and the thematic forum is scheduled to begin at the end of November.
