    Google recently revealed that the submarine cable system Curie connecting Los Angeles in the United States to Valparaiso, Chile, has successfully landed
    in the Playa Ancha area of Valparaiso.

    According to reports, the Curie system is about 10,476 kilometers long, including a feeder path connecting Panama.

    The project was undertaken by TE SubCom
    , a subsidiary of TE Electronics.

    Chris Carobene, vice president of marine services and network construction, said: "The consistent collaboration between Google and SubCom can effectively reduce the potential risk to the Curie submarine cable system project schedule, resulting in the early completion of the Valparaiso landing

    The Curie submarine cable system, the first private intercontinental cable system invested in and owned by Google, is part of
    Google's plan to establish a public cloud service.
    According to the original plan, the system is expected to start production
    this year.
