announced the environmental impact report of the PBAT project with an annual output of 300,000 tons of biodegradable polymer materials before it was submitted for approval

According to the Environmental Impact Statement:

Construction content: The proposed project covers an area of 578 mu, mainly to build 5 PBAT polymerization workshops, 1 THF recycling workshop, and supporting the construction of storage and transportation facilities, auxiliary facilities and public facilities.
The production capacity of a single PBAT polymerization workshop is 60,000 yuan per year.
Tons of biodegradable polymer material PBAT, the main equipment includes raw and auxiliary material preparation system, esterification system, pre-polycondensation system, final polycondensation system, pelletizing system, and a tetrahydrofuran recovery system is set up in the THF recovery workshop; storage and transportation facilities include PBAT warehouse, PTA warehouse, AA warehouse, BDO storage tank, THF storage tank; auxiliary system is mainly heat medium supply system, public works include office building, sewage treatment area, circulating water pool, fire pool (including pump room), accident pool, control room and distribution room,

etc.

Total project investment: 2,209,416,570 yuan

Project construction period: 24 months

The main product of the project is biodegradable PBAT (polybutylene terephthalate-adipate) chips, and the by-product is tetrahydrofuran

, which has proprietary process technology and equipment with independent intellectual property rights for the production of PBAT biodegradable polyester chips

The proposed project uses esterification-polymerization-polycondensation process for resin production, using terephthalic acid (PTA), 1,6 adipic acid (AA), 1,4 butanediol (BDO) as raw materials, and adding special Additives, through direct esterification, continuous polycondensation process technical route, to produce polybutylene terephthalate-adipate, referred to as PBAT

It mainly includes slurry preparation, esterification process, pre-polycondensation process, final polycondensation process, viscosity-increasing polycondensation process, chain extension process, dicing, drying and packaging process and THF refining and recycling system
