    On August 8 , 2022 , the team of Professor Huang Jianhua and Professor Chen Xuexin from the School of Agriculture and Biotechnology of Zhejiang University published a research result entitled "Parasite reliance on its host gut microbiota for nutrition and survival"in The ISME Journal , revealing that parasitic wasps pass through the intestin.


    Parasitic insects, especially parasitic wasps, are natural control factors for effective control of agricultural and forestry pest populations in nature, and are widely used in sustainable pest contr.


    Leptopilina boulardi is an important parasitic wasp of myricetus fruit fly pes.


    Taken together, this study reveals an " ingenious " manipulation strategy by parasitic wasps for host nutrient metaboli.


    The first authors of this paper are PhD students Zhou Sicong and Lu Yueqi from Zhejiang University, and the corresponding authors are Professor Huang Jianhua, Professor Chen Xuexin from Zhejiang University and Professor Michael.
