[China Epoxy Resin Industry Online] August 10, 2004 It is reported that after a problem with the phenol plant in Japan, the price of pure benzene in Asia has risen again as other aromatic hydrocarbons in Asia are strong.
Based on the current high spot prices, the possibility of further increasing the prices of benzene and phenol in August cannot be ruled out.

The domestic phenol market is in short supply, and the ex-factory price of phenol from various manufacturers has been raised sharply, reaching the level of 12,000 yuan/ton.

East China importers quoted prices at RMB 13,400-13,500/ton, and mainstream transactions were concentrated at around RMB 13,000/ton.
