    On September 22-23, 2022, the review seminar of the revised macro and trace element group of DRIs for dietary nutrient reference intakes of Chinese residents was held
    in Beijing.
    More than 40 experts from the DRIs Revision Committee, senior experts in the field of nutrition, and editors of macro and trace element groups were invited to participate in the online and offline simultaneous meetings

    The meeting was chaired
    by Professor Ding Gangqiang, leader of the Revised Constant Elements Group of DRIs in China, and Professor Sun Changhao, leader of the Trace Elements Group.

    First of all, Professor Yang Yuexin, director of the expert committee, delivered a speech at the meeting, comprehensively explaining the general principles, objectives, scientific procedures, and text requirements of the DRIs revision work, and emphasizing the scientific evidence, methodology, logic, innovation, format review, age grouping and other considerations
    that need to be focused on in this cross-review.
    Subsequently, under the chairmanship of Professor Ding Gangqiang and Professor Sun Changhao, 7 experts from the macro element group and 9 experts from the trace element group respectively introduced the basis and calculation process of the value revision of the 2023 version of the nutrient DRIs, the value changes, and the existing problems

    Experts attending the meeting had heated discussions on the scientificity, accuracy, completeness and generalizability of numerical revision, and reached consensus
    .
    Finally, Professor Ding Gangqiang and Professor Sun Changhao summarized the meeting and made specific arrangements
    for the next revision work.
