Relevant leaders and experts from the Department of Aging Health of the National Health Commission, the Chinese Nutrition Society, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics jointly launched the Nutrition Improvement Action for the Elderly (2022-2025).
On October 20 this year, the National Office on Aging officially issued the Notice of the Office of the National Working Committee on Aging on Carrying out Nutrition Improvement Actions for the Elderly (National Office on Aging Letter [2022] No.

On the occasion of the launch of the elderly nutrition improvement action, the "Dietary Guidelines for the Elderly in China (2022)" was also released, which provides a strong scientific guarantee for the next step to comprehensively popularize the dietary nutrition knowledge of the elderly and guide the formation of healthy dietary habits, which is an important part of the "Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2022)", suitable for the elderly aged 65 and above.
It is divided into two parts
: general dietary guidelines for the elderly (for people aged 65 to 79) and dietary guidelines for the elderly (for people aged 80 and above).
The two guidelines are complementary recommendations
for the characteristics of older adults based on dietary guidelines for the general population.
