Recently, Elon Musk, co-founder of SolarCity Home Solar Panel Installation Company, announced that he has successfully developed the most efficient rooftop solar panel with an energy utilization rate of up to 22%.
SolarCity says it generates more electricity per square foot and harvests more energy
than other rooftop solar panels.
Limited production of the new panels began this month, though Suncity plans to begin creating 360watts solar panels
at its new 1-gigawatt plant in New York next year.
The new solar panels have been professionally evaluated and tested by third-party testing firm Renewable's Energy Test Center, meaning they beat the 21.
5% energy utilization
rate created by SunPower's X-series solar panels.
SunCity's panels have also significantly reduced production costs during mass production and can reach standard solar panel sizes
in the home sector.
Compared with similar panels on the market, Suncity said that energy utilization can be increased by 30% to 40%
while maintaining the same size and reducing mass production costs.
