    Mount Agriculture and Marine Fisheries issued coastal octopus fishing closures of command, closed seasons from September 16 to December 15 for three months
    .
    During this period, trawling is prohibited in the area between Sidi L'Ghazi (north of Boujdour) and Lagouira, and all trawlers should leave the area
    .
    Deep-sea trawlers with prior authorization can operate 10 nautical miles away from the coast.
    The authorized area for coastal trawlers is 3 to 6 nautical miles.
    Small fishing vessels can work at different authorized points, but all types of fishing vessels are not accepted.

    Among them, the offshore part is 8,190 tons, the coastal part is 1,430 tons, and the manual part is 3,380 tons

    The octopus quota for the winter fishing season (January 1 to April 15) is 6,729 tons, with a total value of approximately Dh600 million, while the total amount of octopus landing at the port of Dakhla reached 5,706 tons worth Dh400 million Hm

    It is understood that the price of octopus is about 100DH/kg, which is more than twice the average price in winter
    .
    Dakhla’s artisanal fishing fleet mainly operates in the fishing villages of Labouirda, Lassargua, N'tireft and Imoutlane, employing 3,000 to 8,000 fishermen
