On November 9, Professor Wang Xinbing's research group from the Department of Electronic Engineering, School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, made important progress in the interdisciplinary research field of geoscience knowledge graph, and a series of academic achievements were released
at the DDE Open Science Forum held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris 。 Co-organized by UNESCO, IUGS, IYBSSD and DDE, the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development, the event attracted more than 150 top scientists from around the world
.
"Deep-time Digital Earth" international big science program (Deep-time Digital Earth, DDE) was initiated by Chinese scientists in 2019 and jointly initiated by 13 international organizations and institutions, Professor Wang Xinbing's research group, as the first participating team of DDE, under the leadership of Academician Wang Chengshan, Academician Zhou Chenghu, Academician Cheng Qiuming, Academician Wang Jian and other domestic and foreign experts, is committed to building an international platform for cooperation and exchange between global geoscientists and data scientists.
Promote the innovative development of earth science in the era of
big data.

Geoscience DataExpo, which supports open data mining in 18 disciplines of geoscience, has found more than 200,000 geoscience metadata, sourced from 28,000 institutions around the world, and has IP addresses covering 122 countries and regions, covering 84 languages
.
This series of achievements shows the deep integration of the research foundation of Professor Wang Xinbing's team in the fields of academic big data and knowledge graph with the interdisciplinary disciplines of earth sciences, which is a vivid embodiment
of the international academic frontier and the major strategic needs of the country.
At the conference, a number of international experts affirmed the system developed by Professor Wang Xinbing's team, and the doctoral students of the team also showed the excellent demeanor of Jiaotong University students in the exchange and interaction with international experts, and emerged on the United Nations stage and made breakthroughs and innovations
