Foreign media news on November 17: The International Grains Council (IGC) released its monthly report on Thursday, lowering its global wheat production forecast for 2022/23 to 791 million tons, 1 million tons
lower than the previous month's forecast.

The downward revision to wheat production was due to the deteriorating
wheat outlook in Argentina.
The IGC now expects Argentina's wheat production at 13 million tonnes, down from a previous forecast of 17.
5 million tonnes as crops are damaged
by prolonged drought and recent frosts.

Meanwhile, the IGC raised wheat production in Turkey to 19.
8 million mt from 18.
3 million mt and Australia from 33.
5 million mt to 34.
7 million mt, partially offsetting lower production in Argentina

The IGC this month left global maize production unchanged for 2022/23 at 1.
166 billion tonnes
