Recently, the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and many other institutions, including Chen Yi, Zhang Yaohua, Zhang Jianxu, Lu Liang and many other rodent research scholars, published "Genomic analysis unveiling mechanisms of northward" in the "Molecular Ecology" international journal.
Yellow-breasted rat is one of the most widely distributed domestic pests in China.
The research team first assembled and sequenced the genome of yellow-breasted mice, and the size of the genome was 2.
The researchers further used simulated acute hypoxia experimental models to test the physiological tolerance of yellow-breasted rats and Rattus norvegicus to hypoxia, as well as the adaptive changes in the expression levels of transcriptomes in the liver and lungs
This study first revealed the molecular mechanism and colonization mode of the northern expansion of the important pest in China, the yellow breast rat, at the genomic level.
The research results are supported by major projects of the National Foundation of China, the Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation of China, and the STS project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
