Recently, the Institute of Reservoir Geophysics (Reservoir Institute) of the Geophysical Prospecting Institute has made breakthrough progress in the field of shale gas reservoir prediction and microseismic monitoring.

Through continuous research in recent years, the formation of shale gas "sweet spot" seismic prediction, shale gas reservoir pore pressure seismic prediction, comprehensive interpretation of unconventional reservoir fracturing, and unconventional oil gas fracturing microseismic monitoring have evolved from exploration to The developed full-service technology sequence has accumulatively won 6 provincial and ministerial awards, 9 software products and modules developed, and 20 national invention patents authorized.

For fracturing monitoring, a high-level integrated microseismic acquisition, processing and interpretation technology series and software product FracListener are formed, which improves the reliability and practicability of microseismic interpretation results, and realizes the close integration of microseismic and fracturing engineering.
