The Gabon-Congo cross-border fiber optic backbone network system was officially connected
on April 6.
According to reports, this is the first phase of the China-Africa optical fiber backbone network system CAB project, deploying a 1,100-kilometer optical cable network in Gabon, which is undertaken by China International Communication Service China Communication Service International, with an investment of $33 million, with partial financing support
from the World Bank.
At the same time, a 560-kilometer optical cable system was deployed in the Congo, which was undertaken by China's Huawei with an investment of US$15 million
