Sinochem News Network reported on July 6, the first phase of the Sinopec Guizhou 500,000-ton/year PGA (polyglycolic acid) project started in Zhijin County, Bijie City
.

On November 25, 2020, Sinopec and Guizhou Province signed the "Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement for Comprehensive Promotion of High-quality Development"
.

According to the agreement, Sinopec plans to build a 500,000-ton/year PGA project in Zhijin County, Guizhou, including 200,000 tons/year in the first phase and 300,000 tons/year in the second phase

It is reported that the Guizhou 500,000-ton/year PGA project is a demonstration project for Sinopec to advance the cutting-edge coal chemical technology into industrialization
.

During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Sinopec will increase investment in Guizhou, strengthen the exploration and development of oil and gas resources, improve the marketing network of refined oil and natural gas, accelerate the deployment of new energy projects, and explore the modern coal chemical industry based on PGA projects.

PGA is a new type of green and environmentally friendly degradable plastic product with a wide range of uses
