On February 25, Sinopec News Office learned that the first 3,000-ton/year high-gauge polybutene-1 industrial demonstration plant in China was successfully put into operation at Sinopec Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company and produced nearly 100 tons.

The successful industrial demonstration of polybutene-1 technology is another major technological breakthrough made by Sinopec in the field of high-end synthetic new materials.

Polybutene-1 products have excellent creep resistance, stress cracking resistance and impact resistance.

Since 2010, Sinopec has organized Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Zhenhai Refinery Branch, Engineering Construction Co.
