On January 21, Xu Xinchao, director of the New Energy and New Materials Division of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, said at the government consultation of the Beijing Two Sessions that in the second half of 2016, the first batch of new energy vehicle power batteries will be retired one after another, and the current power battery recycling technology has been relatively mature, and can definitely reach the level of
pollution-free treatment.
Xu Xinchao said that according to the theoretical level, the service life of the first batch of new energy vehicle power batteries is about 5 years, decommissioning does not mean that it can not be used, according to the existing level of science and technology, these decommissioned batteries can be completely pollution-free recycling, or continue to be used as a "mobile charging treasure" according to
the specific situation.
