: The first Airbus A330 aircraft with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) increased to 242 tons has been painted in Toulouse, France, where Airbus is headquartered, wearing a start-up user Delta Air Mae coating debut. The A330-300 completed the painting of start-up user Delta Air Lines less than four months after entering the assembly line and less than two months after its first flight. Next, the plane will be fitted with a CF6-80E1 engine from General Electric, which will be delivered to Delta Air Lines this year.
first A330 with a maximum take-off weight of 242 tons
Delta Air Lines is one of Airbus' main customers and currently operates 32 A330 series aircraft (11 A330-11) 200 and 21 A330-300), plus 35 A330 orders to be delivered (25 A330-900neo and 10 A330-300). In addition, Delta Air Services has ordered 25 A350-900 aircraft. For single-aisle aircraft, Delta aircraft currently operate 126 A320 series aircraft (57 A319 and 69 A320), with 45 cash A321 aircraft orders still unresolves.
's A330, with a maximum take-off weight of 242 tons, is the basis of the A330neo(neo:newengineoption, new engine option), and its larger take-off weight not only increases the aircraft's range by 500 nautical miles with reduced operating costs, but also reduces fuel consumption by 2% through a series of improvements. On the other hand, the A330, with a maximum take-off weight of 242 tons, will also benefit from the operational reliability of the current A330 series of up to 99.4%, all of which will enable it to fly for up to 15 hours without stopping.
