On November 21, 2019, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) announced a review of hymexazol's maximum residual limit (MRL) in beetroot and other plant and/or animal-sourced commodities.
Upon evaluation, the EU Food Safety Authority recommends that the maximum residual limit for mouldy in beetroot be adjusted from 0.1 mg / kg to 0.01 x mg / kg (LOQ), with further consideration required for other plant and/or animal sources.
