On November 23, 2021, the Eurasian Economic Union issued an announcement to revise the relevant provisions of the Technical Regulation TREAEU044/2017 on the safety of packaged drinking water
.
The main revisions are:

(1) Classify mineral water containing natural active ingredient boron (calculated as boric acid) as natural mineral water with special health care effects or therapeutic natural mineral water;

(2) The boron content of natural mineral water for health care is 35.
0-100.
0mg/dm3, and the boron content of therapeutic mineral water is not more than 100.
0mg/dm3;

(3) Provisions for the transition period

Natural mineral water that enters the market before May 6, 2022 can be sold normally
.

The feedback period ends on January 22, 2022
