    According to the European Food Safety Authority, at the request of the European Commission, on



    the European Food Safety Authority (
    EFSA
    ) issued an opinion on the revision of the exposure assessment of stevia glycoside as a food additive, which will take into account the expansion of the scope of use.assessment, the Group concluded that the average stevia glycoside exposure value for all populations was below
    ADI

    4 mg/kg bw/day
    , while toddle exposure assessment for children in only one country was
    4.3 mg/kg
    higher than
    ADI
    . The Group also believes that a specific maximum allowable level (
    MPL
    ) would result in a more accurate assessment of maximum exposure.
