Recently, Maoming Petrochemical's product oil tank farm has completed the installation of 319 emergency shut-off valves on 52 oil tanks, marking a new level of automation in the product oil tank farm.

Maoming Product Oil Tank Farm was built in the 1950s and has a history of more than 60 years.

To this end, the company launched the group company’s major hidden danger management project in May last year, installing emergency shut-off valves and control boxes for each oil tank’s inlet and outlet pipelines.

They overcome many difficulties caused by short construction period, heavy tasks, shortage of manpower, changeable weather, criss-crossing of pipelines in the tank area, complex terrain, and construction while production.

After more than a year of hard work by the combatants, this investment of more than 30 million yuan, involving more than 300 emergency shut-off valves in 18 tank groups in 7 large tank farms, including steam, coal, and diesel, has been fully completed in recent days.
