China Merchants Securities recently released the "China Merchants Commercial Cross-border E-commerce Industry In-depth Report" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"), which conducted a detailed investigation and analysis of the current state of China's cross-border e-commerce industry

The "Report" shows that the average annual growth rate of China's cross-border e-commerce exceeds 15%, the industry penetration rate reaches 36%, and the scale of cross-border e-commerce (export) will reach 11 trillion yuan in 2021

The "Report" is also optimistic about the growth of the B2B export model.

The B2C cross-border model presents another diversified development situation, and the entire track business is clustered and developed rapidly

Regarding the future development space of cross-border e-commerce, the "Report" believes that on the overseas demand side, the epidemic has accelerated the online transfer of overseas consumption

Data shows that under the epidemic, overseas online shopping users exceeded 12% for the first time, and the average online shopping time increased by 47% in 2020

On the domestic supply side, the B2B export cross-border platform shortens the circulation chain compared with traditional foreign trade, reducing costs and increasing efficiency; B2C export cross-border e-commerce benefits from China's strong supply chain capabilities, relying on cost advantages to achieve sufficient supply of cost-effective commodities , coupled with the upgrading trend of high-quality and branded supply chains, has increased the recognition of domestic products by overseas consumers

At present, Ali's globalization section has made long-term investment in infrastructure, which will occupy a more favorable position for Ali in the cross-border e-commerce market

The growth trend of the overseas consumer market has become the basis for the development of China's cross-border e-commerce

Cross-border e-commerce, as a fast-growing new form of foreign trade, has received strong support from the policy level

With the development of China's cross-border e-commerce, the popularity and trust of domestic brands overseas has been continuously improved, and Chinese products will be recognized by more international consumers
