From 0-24 o'clock on March 8, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 8 newly confirmed cases, all of which were imported cases (4 in Sichuan, 2 in Shanghai, and 2 in Guangdong); none New death cases; no new suspected cases.
On the same day, 11 new cases were cured and discharged, and 268 close contacts were released from medical observation.
There are currently 173 confirmed cases imported from abroad (no severe cases) and no existing suspected cases.
As of 24:00 on March 8, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are 180 confirmed cases (no severe cases), a total of 85,186 cured and discharged cases, and a total of 4,636 deaths.
31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 9 new cases of asymptomatic infections (all imported from abroad); no cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day; 5 cases were lifted from medical observation on the same day (all imported from abroad); 246 cases of asymptomatic infection were under medical observation (245 cases imported from abroad).
