On January 21, the 2021 annual summary meeting of the “14th Five-Year Plan” crop breeding project of Sichuan Province “Key Cultivation Technology Innovation and Application of New Varieties of Main Grain and Oil Crops” chaired by Professor Ren Wanjun of Sichuan Agricultural University was held in 1st Teaching 301, Chengdu Campus

At the summary meeting, the project leaders and task leaders made a detailed report on the 2021 goals, tasks and work development, main progress and highlights, fund management and use, main experience and existing problems, and plans for the next step.

The evaluation experts fully affirmed the achievements of the project this year.

Ren Wanjun summarized the breakthrough achievements of this year's project and made arrangements for the next project research work

First, in view of the urgently needed breakthrough varieties of various grain and oil crops under the new situation and the screening index system established during the "13th Five-Year Plan", with the typical characteristics of high-quality green, high-yield, high-efficiency, and suitable mechanization synergy, comprehensive analysis and research were conducted to screen out breakthroughs.

The third is to carry out demonstration and promotion of the initially screened varieties and integrated technologies.
